Donald Schultz

Donald Ray Schultz, age 84, of Gowen, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from his home. The son of Raymond August & Lucille Evelyn (Haase) Schultz, he was born on December 31, 1936 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. After graduating from high school, Don enlisted in the United States Air Force and honorably served our country from 1958-1962. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years and will long be remembered for his ability to fix just about anything. A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville, Don had served as a deacon for many years. He loved his family, his church, and was always willing to help those in need. Don loved the outdoors, traveling, and playing and watching sports -- if a family member was playing, he was in the stands! He had a heart of gold and was a mentor to many. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Mary Schultz; a brother, Bob Schultz; his father-in-law, Robert Bennett, Sr.; and a brother-in-law, Robert Bennett, Jr. Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Debbie (Bennett-Russell) Schultz; his daughters, Connie & Arnie Bowers, Terry & Tim Roberto, and Leslie Schultz; two grandsons, Dallas and Drew; five granddaughters, Alyse, Taisen, Emily, Taylor and Landyn; four great-granddaughters; his mother-in-law, Doreen Bennett; four step-children, Fred Russell, Marty & Chancey Russell, Alisha Russell, and James Russell; step-grandchildren, Freddie, Noah, Robert, Christian, Murvey, Logan, Jimmy, Alen, Autumn, and Averi; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Jack & Peny Schultz, and Marge Shultz; siblings-in-law, Ronald & Carmen Bennett, Susan & Mike Seif, Patty & Gordy Ridgeway; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family is from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church, 12501 Montcalm Road N.E., Greenville, where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 8, 2021. The Rev. R. Mark Shaw, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate and military honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force.
