Donald James Mire, age 56, of Port Charlotte, Florida, formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away December 29, 2008 in Kenner, Louisiana.
The son of Percy & Judith (George) Mire, he was born on July 10, 1952 in Lafayette, Louisiana and was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a sergeant.
Graveside committal services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Grand Rapids, with military honors rendered by the U.S. Marine Corps.
