Donald De Koning

Donald Thomas De Koning, age 89, of Jenison, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born July 29, 1933, in Grand Rapids to the late, Jasper and Jeanette (Huizenga) De Koning. Don proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Marlene Ann Mast on October 7, 1955, in Byron Center. Don owned and operated his own company and was a brick and stone mason for over 55 years. A full obituary will be posted as soon as it becomes available. Per Don's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal public services will be held. His cremated remains will be buried at Georgetown Township Cemetery at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
