Donald George Huisman, 86, was called home to be with Jesus his Savior on April 1, 2026.
He was born in Grand Rapids to George and Olga (Waterkamp) on February 13, 1940. After serving in the Army National Guard, Don married Anna Bouwsema on May 25, 1962. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage until Ann’s death in 2023.
Don will be missed by his children Lynda & Mike Vredeveld, Mike & Chantha Huisman, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A private service will be held on May 21 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
