Donald M. Howe, age 68, of Orleans, passed away Wednesday evening, October 31, 2012 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The son of Floyd E. & Myrtle I. (Parrish) Howe, he was born on August 18, 1944 in Owosso.
On December 18, 1965, in Lansing, he married Suzanne E. Choate and together they enjoyed 46 years of marriage and raised five children. Don farmed most of his working years and also enjoyed repairing and reselling John Deere lawn tractors and cars and trucks of all makes. He was a member of Beth Haven Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Suzanne Howe of Orleans; their children, Craig & Pamela Howe of Vestaburg, Christine & Dan Bailard of Alto, Chad Howe of Grand Rapids, Carolyn & Randy Braden of Waterford, and Cliff Howe of Ionia; five grandchildren, Matthew, Jonathon, Nichole, Stephanie, and James; two great grandchildren, Brennen and Alexa; a brother, Jim & Sue Howe of Mobile, Alabama; two sisters, Betty Howe of Perry, and Rosanne & Clyde English of Bannister; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Beth Haven Baptist Church, 1158 W. Carson City Road (M-57), Sheridan, with a luncheon immediately following. The Rev. Kevin Crowell, pastor of Beth Haven Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Ionia. Envelopes for memorial contributions will be available at the church.
