Donald Goodwin

Donald L. Goodwin, age 75, of rural Stanton, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 25, 2012, at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Elliott L. & Eleanor A. (Britzman) Goodwin, he was born on July 30, 1937 in Lansing and was a 1955 graduate of Greenville High School. On December 16, 1961, in Greenville, he married Patricia M. Beck and together they enjoyed almost 51 years of marriage and raised two children. Don retired from Electrolux after 37 1/2 years of service in the maintenance department and enjoyed traveling and "tinkering" in his garage. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Pat Goodwin of Stanton; their children, Amy Goodwin and Michael & Susan Goodwin, all of Greenville; three grandchildren, Angie Goodwin-Duran, Jennifer Panks, Roxann & Ian Burr; three great grandchildren, Trey Ingles, Ayeesha Ellis, and Kaidan Merlington; special friends, Bill Johnson and Brett Boltinghouse; and his beloved dogs and cats. Visitation is from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Lynda Dyke of Living Faith Family Church will officiate and burial will follow at East Montcalm Cemetery.
