Donald Edwards

Donald Reuben Edwards, age 88, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 4, 2014 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Don & Edith (Sawyer) Edwards, he was born on October 10, 1925 in Evart. On May 3, 1946, in LeRoy, he married Gladys Crowe and together they raised six children and enjoyed 38 years of marriage. Don retired from the former Ranney Refrigerator Co./Northland after 40 years of service and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and wood working. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gladys Edwards in 1984; a grandson, Todd Edwards-Herroon; a son-in-law, Richard Herroon; two brothers, Russell Edwards and Kenneth Edwards; and two sister, Marion Vandenburg and Carol Gibson. Surviving are his children, Claudia & Harry Bigler of Greenville, Keith & Theresa Edwards of Sidney, Judy & John Hall of Stanton, Kathy King & Jim Andrews of Belding, Gloria Herroon of Greenville, and Sheila & Mike Davenport of Greenville; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-one great grandchildren; twenty-eight great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mabel Edwards of Kalamazoo and Alva & Robert Schrader of Petoskey; and many nieces and nephews.
