Donald Jay Eding, of Hesperia, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at the age of 65 after a long battle with COPD.
Don was born to Alex and Leona (Gebben) Eding on December 1, 1950 in Holland. He attended and graduated from Hamilton High School. Don married the former Carla Thomas on December 1, 1990, in Georgetown, KY. He was employed at Hart and Cooley in Holland and Saugatuck, as well as Douglas Police Department and Magna-Donnelly in Newaygo.
Don was preceded in death by his father, Alex; granddaughter, Monica Dodge; father-in-law, Robert Thomas; sister-in-law, Karan Thomas Walker; and brother-in-law, David Thomas. Don is survived by his wife, Carla; sons, Michael Eding , Joe McCleese, and Mikeil (Traci) Burgess; daughters, Tracy Dodge, Amy (Steve) Cook , and Heather (Ken) Boivin; fourteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; mother, Leona Eding; brothers, Terry (Marie) Eding, and Bob (Karen) Eding; Sisters, Kathy Nichols, and Connie (Barry) Immink; Mother-in-Law, Carol Thomas; brothers-in law, Robert (Charlene) Thomas, and Douglas (Sandy) Thomas; sister-in-Law, Sherrilee (Bill) Craner; as well as many nieces and nephews.
