Donald Campbell

Mr. Donald Eugene Campbell, age 80, of Wheatland, Wyoming, formerly of the Greenville-Belding area, went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007 at his sons home near Gowen under the loving care of his family and Heartland Hospice. The son of Delbert & Lyda Lucretia (Hamman) Campbell, he was born on Oct. 11, 1927 in Santa Ana, California. In Michigan he had been employed in public works for the cities of Greenville and Belding, as well as the Montcalm County Road Commission. In Wyoming, he worked for 19 years at Wheatland High School as a custodian. He enjoyed fishing, spending time in the mountains and foothills of Wyoming, and for many years had a hobby farm where he raised chickens and ducks. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alberta; and three sons, Donald, Anthony, and Adam. Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Campbell; his children, Sherry & Paul Corey of Greenville, David & Teresa Campbell of Gowen, Eugenia Headley of Phoenix, Arizona, Lorri Campbell of Greenville, Scott & Connie Campbell of Greenville, and Patrick Campbell of Wheatland, Wyoming; the mother of his children, Dolores Jean Campbell of Belding; a brother and sister-in-law, Sonny & Mary Campbell of Saginaw; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
