Diane Denise Dykstra

In the quiet town of Crystal, Michigan, a spirit that was as bright as it was resilient ceased to glow on June 12, 2025. Diane Denise Dykstra, born on September 14, 1958, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, was a beacon of warmth and joy in the lives of those who knew her. She was the embodiment of the verse from the book of Proverbs 31:25: "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come." Her laughter was infectious, her spirit was unyielding, and her heart was always open. Diane was never one to shy away from an adventure. Her life was a testament to her adventurous nature, and she spread her wings far and wide, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she encountered. Her family was her world, and she was the sun around which they revolved. Her love was as vast as the universe itself, and her light continues to shine brightly in the lives of those she left behind. She is survived by her son, Andrew Dykstra, and his wife Olivia; her beloved granddaughters, Ruby and Zelda Dykstra; her sister, Linda Brooms and her husband Matt; nieces Cheryl Gillson, Amy Rosendall, and Shelby Brooms. She is now reunited with her parents, Andrew and Mildred Dykstra, who preceded her in death. As we remember Diane, we should keep the words of 2 Timothy 4:7 close to our hearts: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
