Our beautiful mother Diana Sue Marsh (Meyers) was called home last night. She was the strongest person I’ve ever known and she had the biggest heart. She was a lover of all animals and she raised and rehabilitated any animal in need. Even on her 11 mile walking mail route the animals loved her. She always had dog treats in her pocket where ever she went and even her fur grand babies loved it when grandma came to visit. She was a hard worker and had incredible strength, she really could do anything. She loved her family fiercely and always showed up whenever anyone one of them needed support.

She was a single mother to 4 children for more than a decade and made many sacrifices. She worked long hours to provide for her family and never complained. She always made time to make memories with us and was creative in doing so. My love for watching football comes from my mother, she made sure that raising boys in a fatherless home didn’t mean they didn’t grow up doing boy things. Another example of the extra effort she always gave. She didn’t hesitate to take her 4 young children on road trips, her patience was unmatched.

She always made sure we were surrounded by extended family, even if it was not by blood relation and regardless of family circumstances. Divorce didn’t deter her from still being family. I have so many wonderful memories and experiences because of her incredible effort. Even when she had little she made sure we didn’t go without. She taught us to take care of each other and to be good people, the credit belongs to her and her only for who we have become.

She may have been biologically the mother to 4 but many called her mom and she loved them as she did her own. She loved her grand and great grand babies with her whole heart and loved to brag about them, even when her health wasn't the best she would talk them up to the hospital staff.

My heart is broken into a million pieces but I take comfort knowing she is no longer a prisoner of her own body and can now truly be free. I know it was a glorious day in heaven as she reunited with her parents and other family members and hundreds of furry friends she loved and cared for. I am certain her father was the first she went to after missing him for almost 46 years. If you really knew her you know she wanted to leave this world quietly, she never wanted anyone to make a fuss over her even though no one deserved it more. I will live the rest of my life missing her and loving her always.

Love always and forever, her baby girl.
