Diana Mae Cook, of Gowen, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Born to Willard & Betty DeBruyn on October 8, 1937, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Diana grew up to be a woman of great wit and compassion. She was the embodiment of the quote, "A good character is the best tombstone," as her thoughtful and generous nature will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. Diana was a dedicated accountant for B&O Saws before her retirement. Her meticulous attention to detail, combined with her witty humor, made her a beloved figure at her workplace. She was an avid dog lover, her home often echoed with the sounds of delighted barks and giggles. Above all, Diana held a deep love for her family. Her children were her pride and joy, and she showered them with endless love and affection. Her compassionate spirit and generosity extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of many in her community. Diana Cook is survived by her loving children, Anthony & Clarisa Woods, Tammy Woods, Timothy Woods, and Thomas Woods. She also leaves behind her siblings, Kathy DeBruyn and Bill & Sandi DeBruyn. Diana also had several grandchildren who were the light of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard & Betty DeBruyn; and her devoted husband, William Cook.
