Diana Lynn Andres, age 74, of Greenville, Michigan, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of Sunday, March 2, 2025 at home.
The daughter of Clarence Leroy & Donna Maxine (Vant’Hof) MacDonald, she was born on August 24, 1950 in Cedar Springs, Michigan. A 1968 graduate of Cedar Spring High School, she married Edwin Roger Andres on May 2, 1970 in Greenville, and together they enjoyed nearly 55 years of marriage and raised two children.
Diana, often called Diane, and playfully called “Lady Di” by her husband, was well known for her amazing cooking and baking skills. From cookies to cheesecakes and especially her award-winning pies, her baked goods will long be remembered.
In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she worked as a waitress, housekeeper, baker, and daycare provider… among other job titles.
She is best known for her love of family, her caring nature and kindness. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, shopping, eating out, attending church, visiting friends, and sitting around the kitchen table drinking coffee and conversing with loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Steven MacDonald and Robert MacDonald; sister-in-law, Sandy MacDonald; as well as by her grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
Surviving are her husband, Roger Andres; their children, Buffy & Jeff Hall, and Byron & Niki Andres; her grandchildren, Alison, Abigail, Brooklyn, Kyla, Kaylie, Connor, Briley, and Ryker; her siblings, Charlene & Dan Darling, Rod & Liz MacDonald, Michael & Patricia MacDonald, Brian & Laurie MacDonald, Patrick & Lynn MacDonald, Pamela Mac Donald, and Greg & Cheryl MacDonald; as well as multiple aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends will celebrate Diana’s life beginning with visitation at 10:00 am. on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the Belgreen Seventh-day Adventist Church, 9799 Baker Road, Greenville, with memorial services beginning at 12:00 Noon on Sunday. A luncheon will immediately follow the ceremony in the church hall.
For those desiring, memorial contributions may be directed to the Belgreen Seventh-day Adventist Church. Cards and flowers may be delivered to the church on the day of services (local florist is Greenville Floral (616) 754-5908).
