Dennis Stratton

Dennis Arthur Stratton, age 68, of Edmore, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at his home under the loving care of his family. The son of Arthur Charles & Virginia Ellen (Foote) Stratton, he was born on July 14, 1948 in Alma. On August 1, 1992, he married Cindy Lou Nevills. Dennis loved the outdoors... fishing, hunting, feeding "his girls" (catfish) in the pond, family bonfires and just being outside. He enjoyed wood-working and could operate any type of equipment. He was devoted to and lived for his work at Heritage Ag. -- working right up until the end. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Stratton; and David "Corby" Stratton. Surviving are his wife, Cindy Stratton of Edmore; five children, Michele & Brian Collins, Stacie & Dave Haberek, Robb & Sam Stratton, Wendy & Kenny Binge, and Sydnee & Alex Hyzer; five brothers and sisters, Chris & Lynda Stratton, Pat & Deb Stratton, Kathy & David Gates, Brian & Bev Stratton, Laurie & Mark Siebert; fourteen grandchildren, Bo and Hunter Collins, Cody, Caleb, and Colton Haberek, Bryce and Keegan Stratton, Alexis, Katlin, Kordell, and Blair Walkley, Ryan and Ashlyn Binge, and Gracie "BJ" Hyzer; his special friends, Greg Wing and Frank Alward; his inseperable companion, Molly; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation is from 5 - 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 27th at Faith United Methodist Church (833 S. 1st Street, Edmore) where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, with the Pastor Mike Riegler officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Burial will take place privately at Vinewood Cemetery. Envelopes for memorial contributions to Helen DeVos Children's Hospital will be available at the church.
