Dennis Gritzinger

Dennis Gene Gritzinger born August 26, 1939, passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, in Grand Rapids. Dennis is survived by his daughter Denise (Brian) Collins, grandsons Joshua (Candice) Collins, Brian (Danielle) Collins, and 5 great-grandchildren. Brother Fred (Cathy) Gritzinger, adopted son, Bob Morton, and dear friend Brett Thayer. Dennis proudly served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. He retired after 31 years with General Motors, going on to work an additional 10 years at Gerontology Network. Ever active, Dennis was a lover of nature, accomplished hunter, and longtime camping enthusiast. He would spend entire days outside working in and enjoying his yard, and weekend visits to the Muskegon River. Dennis was a terrific storyteller, even with some slight embellishments; loved a bit of mischief and teasing, bringing levity to any situation. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. The sun won't shine quite as brightly as it did before; but his spirit will be with us Always. Per Dennis's wishes, no services were held.
