Denise Marie Dilley, age 55, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, June 26, at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Charles & Darlene (Holderman) Clark, she was born on March 25, 1958 in Greenville and was a graduate of Cedar Springs High School. For 25 years she worked at the former Electrolux until the plant closed, but delighted in her new role as a full-time grandma.
On July 7, 1984, in Greenville, she married Patrick Joseph Dilley, and together they enjoyed nearly 29 years of marriage, Denise found beauty in everything she saw which was expressed in her photography and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Bud Clark; her mother, Darlene Sherd; a sister, Deborah Lyons, ; and a cousin, Chad Dakin.
Surviving are her husband, Pat Dilley of Greenville; her children, Petty Officer 1st Class Bryan Heiss, stationed with the U.S. Navy in Washington, D.C., Adam Heiss, and Staci & Larry Mooney; two grandchildren, Tyler Mooney and Emma Mooney; her step-father, Sam Sherd; two brothers, Ed Clark and Ken & Shanna Clark; two aunts, Ann Harden, and Bonnie & Jim Dakin; parents-in-law, Harold & Arna Dilley; siblings-in-law, Michael & Linda Dilley, Pamela & Buck Rush, and Mark Dilley, all of Greenville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of the First Congregational Church, will officiate and burial will follow at Eureka Township Cemetery.
