Delaine "Dee" Lowry

Delaine Viola "Dee" Lowry, age 85, of Greenville, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at her home under the loving care of her brother, Gary, and Spectrum Health Hospice. The daughter of Ernest & Mary (Walters) Strouse, she, along with her twin brother, DeWaine, were welcomed in this world on June 17, 1937 in Carrington, North Dakota. She spent her early childhood in North Dakota and a short time in South Dakota. Later the family moved to Michigan where she met Frank Bud Lowry who became the love of her life and later her husband when they married on July 12, 1957 in Jasper, Texas. Together they enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and sitting around a campfire. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Bud Lowry on September 17, 2017; two sisters, Melisse "Liz" Andersen, and Donna "Dolly" Beck; two brothers, Donald "Sonny" Strause, and Lyle Strouse; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. Delaine is survived and missed by her brothers, DeWaine & June Strouse of Lowell, and Gary Strouse of Greenville; four sisters-in-law, Nancy Strause, Jan Strouse, JoAnn McNeil and Mary Moore; and many nieces and nephews. The family extends their special thanks to Gary Strouse for the unconditional love and devotion he showed for his sister by providing care for her, along with Spectrum Health Hospice. Delaine will be missed by her surviving family. Until we meet again, we love you! Visitation is from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pastor Mike Simmons of Orchard View Church of God will officiate and burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
