Deborah Sue Weiler, age 69, of Greenville, passed away Saturday morning, September 21, 2024 at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The daughter of Ronald Nathan & Barbara Jean (Stiles) Packard, she was born on January 12, 1955 in Greenville, Michigan.
Deborah’s work had very little to do with what her life was about. She was a free spirit who went where the wind took her for much of her life, loved without reserve, helped many without judgement and cared for all the cats and dogs that came into her life.
We could not begin to list the many areas where Deby excelled in this life. She wrote a book, “Dead is a Four Letter Word” on Amazon, She loved her guitar and preforming, Creating Web Pages, Helping people with computer problems, and recently was very involved in working on election integrity. Her group sent these descriptions, Our Sister in Liberty, the keyboard warrior, The glue that held our group together.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Ronald Packard, and Barbara (Stiles) & Dick Clark; her brother Arthur Packard; and her husband, William "Billy" Weiler.
Surviving are her children, Sascha Bates of Seattle, Washington, Demian P. & Sandy Bates of Rockford, Amber Muller, Angie & Mike Laux of Ionia, Denise & Duane Backus of Mount Pleasant; her grrandchildren, Zoe Bates, Sebastion Bates, Jade Muller, Eric & Tracilyn Weiler, Michael & Cyndra Laux, Austin Backus, Tayvin Backus, William Duane Backus; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters, Veronica Aron of Florida, Cindy & Bill Codling of Sheridan, and Chris & Bob Wagner of Indiana; "sister of the heart", Kathye Ammon; brothers of the heart, Kevin Schultz, and LeRoy Mooney; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Deborah’s life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Montcalm Township Hall (1880 S. Greenville Road, Greenville - across from Turk Lake).
Instead of flowers, Deborah would have appreciated contributions in her memory to Alvah N. Belding Library where she spent many hours as a girl.
