Dawn Marie Gallegoes Ibarra, aged 55, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family and closest friends. Dawn was a devoted mother, loving daughter, caring sister, wonderful tia, and loyal friend whose strength, compassion, loyalty, love, and passion touched the lives of all who she knew.
Above anything else, Dawn’s passion was her family. Dawn loved her children with her everything. Alejandro, Alisha, and Angelo are her pride and joy. She loved them with her whole heart and dedicated her life to providing them with unconditional love, protection, and support. Dawn was a selfless and devoted mother who always, always placed her children first, and she worked tirelessly to give them the very best of herself.
Dawn married Carlos Ibarra in 2025 meeting one another in 2019. They truly loved one another deeply from day one—the kind of love not everyone finds—through it all. To know Dawn was to love her! She loved her fur-babies, Paco, Winnie, and Chiquita. She enjoyed cooking and baking for those she loved, good music, the Kansas City Chiefs, travel, and going to antique stores.
She will always be remembered for her caring heart, fierce love for those she held dear, unforgettable spirit, and the strength she showed even during life’s most difficult moments. Her laughter, loved, and the memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her, though her time here was much to short. She will forever be loved and remembered, and can now rest pain free in the arms of God our Father.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Carlos Ibarra; three children, Alejandro Gallegoes, Alisha Gallegoes, Angelo Gallegoes; her parents, Martin Zapata and Josefa Zapata; siblings, Ryan Gallegoes, Dominga Suarez, Trina Suarez, Rachel Gallegoes, Michael Suarez, Todd Gallegoes; her best friend-sis Cadena Graves, Juan Zapata, and Robert John Gallegoes; her grandchildren, Ulysses Flores, Ayriel Gallegoes, Sanyea Gallegoes, Andreus Gallegoes, Alyana Gallegoes, Adrian Gallegoes, and Saraya Gallegoes.
Dawn was preceded in death by Daniel Gallegoes, Ramon Gallegoes, Amaila Gallegoes, Agapito Pete Suarez Sr., Kelly Heinez, and Uncle Jesse Suarez.
Throughout her life, Dawn faced many struggles, yet she met each one with resilience, determination, and courage. Dawn was a fighter, and despite the obstacles placed before her, she always found a way to overcome them drawing strength from the love she held for her family and those closest to her. Dawn’s cancer battle was one she fought with courage, strength, and determination…let her memory and life remind you to NEVER GIVE UP!
