Dawn Howard

Dawn Marie Lessard-Howard, age 38, of Hudsonville, formerly of Greenville, passed away Sunday evening, November 1, 2009 at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. The daughter of Luther & Mary (Olmstead) Lessard, she was born on April 5, 1971 in Dearborn and graduated in 1989 from Greenville High School. She attended Davenport University and had worked at Grand River Surgery. A devoted mother, Dawn also enjoyed mountain biking, golfing, and spending time at the beach. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rayfield & Doris Lessard; and her maternal grandmother, Betty Olmstead. Surviving are her children, Tyler Mitchell Howard of Greenville, Alec Ryan Howard, and Austin Kyle Howard, both of Rockford; her parents, Luther & Mary Lessard of Greenville; a sister and brother-in-law, Faye & David Kyser of Cedar Springs; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Stephen & Lillian Lessard of Greenville, and Charles Lessard of Carson City; her maternal grandfather, Elwyn Olmstead of Ludington; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 at Spencer Mills Church, 12710 17 Mile Road off of Lincoln Lake Avenue, with Pastor Alan Flowers officiating. Visitation is on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the church, and also one hour prior to services.
