Dawn W Dunn, born on October 12, 1952, in Ionia, Michigan, known for her spirited resilience, witty charm and creativity, passed away on August 29, 2024. A proud lifelong resident of Michigan, Dawn called Lake Odessa home, where she was a beloved member of the community and a valued member of the Barber Shop girls bowling team. As a homemaker, Dawn's home was filled with warmth and laughter. Always one to be found with a book in hand, she cherished the simple pleasure of a good story. Her creativity flourished in her love for crafting and playing cards, with Skip Bo being her favorite.
Dawn is survived by her daughters, Tonya Dunn and Tabitha Yonkers and her son, Toby (Kari) Dunn. A doting grandmother, Dawn leaves behind her grandchildren, Aaerikiae (Taimak) Webb, Sherron (Kelly) Lindsey, Maeven (John) Ranft, Bailey (Devon) Kim, Joshua Yonkers, ArtRicia Dunn, Ily Dunn, Sawyer Dunn, and step-grandson, Chris (Grace) Boughner. Dawn was also the proud great-grandmother to James and Grayson Raft, Elise Kim, SkiyLynd and Landon Webb, BraeeLynn and GrayLynd Webb, CelisiAna, Sherron Jr. and Dequarii Lindsey, Sophia and Carter Boughner. She is also survived by her sister, Louise & Ron Enkemann.
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, William and Artricia Enkemann, brother William Enkemann, and her beloved grandmother Pearl Jackson and aunt and uncle Pearl (Stanley) Fenstemaker. As J.K. Rowling wrote, "The ones who love us never really leave us, you can always find them in here," which truly echoes Dawn's beliefs as family mattered most to her.
