David "Chip" Washburn IV, age 81, of Wayland, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
He was born on May 24, 1939, in Oconomowoc Wisconson to Charles and Dorothy (Hamilton) Washburn.
Chip was a loving father and grandfather who loved to teach and share his knowledge with others. Aside from teaching, Chip was also a restaurant owner and an outdoorsman. He loved to go camping and travel to new places. Chip was proud of his family and loved spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. Chip is survived by his wife Carol; brother Chris Washburn; two sons Hank (Renee) and David; ten grandchildren, Sarah Austin, Kristen (Karen) Lukasiewicz, Jennifer (Nate) Jingles, Jenni (Sean) Lukasiewicz, David (Natalie) Washburn, Charles (Kelsey) Washburn and Delaney and Curtis Washburn; great grandchildren, Austin and Garrett Hendrick, Sylvia Brower, Audrey, Aaron and Aiden Jingles, Hailey Galbriath Tripp Washburn and Grayson Washburn.
Chip is preceded in death by both his parents Charles and Dorothy and three siblings Chuck, Ginny and Elizabeth Washburn.
