David Lee Veenstra, age 75, of Cedar Springs, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at Corewell Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The son of Peter & Evelyn (DeMand) Veenstra, he was born on May 22, 1951 in Grand Rapids and worked most of his life as a roofing contractor. 

On August 30, 1975, he married Cheryl Ann Hickman and together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage and raised one child. Dave enjoyed watching baseball and westerns. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Ronnie, Steve and Linda. 

Surviving are his wife, Cheryl Veenstra of Cedar Springs; and their son, Shane Veenstra.

Private services have been held.
