David Pyke, born on March 25, 1947, in Peru, IN, USA, was an adventurous soul who lived his life with resilience and a spirited sense of humor. Known for his witty remarks and captivating tales, he charmed everyone he met. David was a dedicated cable communications salesperson who brought the same energy to his work as he did to his passions, which included fishing, gardening, and farming in Indiana. He was also a proud veteran, having honorably served in the Army and Vietnam.
Throughout his life, David proved to be as resilient as the plants he tended to in his garden, always bouncing back from life's challenges with a quick joke and a ready smile. He was adventurous too, always ready for a fishing trip or a chance to try a new vegetable in his garden. David resided in Grand Rapids, Michigan for over a decade, bringing his warm-hearted spirit to the community.
Married on the 11th of October, 1974, David and his beloved wife, Sophie Pyke, enjoyed a vibrant life together. His family was his world, especially his granddaughter, McKinley, who was the apple of his eye. He is survived by his spouse, Sophie, their son, Tyler and his wife Amy, his granddaughter, McKinley, and his sister, Judy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorothy Pyke, and his siblings, Thomas and Jean Pyke.
David's memories will live on, not just in the hearts of his loved ones, but in every fish that swims free, every plant that blooms, and every hearty laugh shared in his memory.
