Mr. David Michael McNab, age 70, of Grattan Township, passed away Thursday morning, June 7, 2007 at his home. The son of Robert & Beatrice (Kent) McNab, he was born on April 26, 1937 in Detroit. David was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving as a peacekeeper in Korea following the end of the Korean Conflict hostilities. After returning home, he married Charlene Pickell on April 18, 1959 in Greenville.
For over 20 years David worked as a driver for Greyhound Bus Lines and enjoyed woodworking and traveling. In past years, he had been a volunteer firefighter for the Grattan Township Fire Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Shirley Jacobs. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Charlene McNab; two sons, Robert & Jennifer McNab of Davison, and Don McNab of Flint Township; four grandsons, Justin, Ryan, Aaron, and Preston McNab of Davison; three sisters-in-law, Donna & Keith Greenwood of Mississippi, Alice Seif of Belding, and Sharree Fare of Greenville; a special niece, Joann & Charles Fitz of Grand Ledge; a special nephew, Joe & Gail Jacobs of Big Rapids; and many other dear nieces and nephews.
Honoring Davids wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. The family invites relatives and friends to join them in a time of remembrance on Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville. Envelopes for memorial contributions to the American Heart Association will be available at the funeral home.
