David Michael Lutz-Tagliareni, age 56, of Greenville, passed away Monday, November 14, 2022 at his home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice following a courageous eight year battle with multiple myeloma.
The son of two loving and supportive sets of parents, John William & Judith Ann (Skeels) Gould and David & Sally Lutz, he was born on December 19, 1965 in Muskegon, was raised in Kent City, attended Trinity Lutheran School in Conklin, and was a proud 1984 graduate of Kent City High School.
On October 11, 2015, in Grand Rapids, he married his loving husband, James Nels Tagliareni, who was always by his side, the most loving caregiver every step of his journey.
David's first job, for many years, was at Wolverine World Wide in Rockford, where he worked his way up to management after 16 years. But his real passion was for cooking & baking, most recently having owned and operated the Red Rock Grille in Kent City with his sister. He was a beloved member of the community there.
David always showed the most immense love and kindness. Always spreading joy with a huge smile, a warm shoulder and a friendly ear for those around him. He was shared by so many, loved deeply and had a heart of gold for everyone he encountered.
He had a love for singing and all things music. He enjoyed attending many, many concerts and musical theatre throughout his life. He especially enjoyed watching his niece sing and perform.
David was an avid gardener. Just like his dad, Dave, he had a produce stand at his home for many years. He was a true green thumb that enjoyed sharing the joy of gardening with those around him, whether it was floral or veggie. He enjoyed teaching others, sharing the canned goods, baked goodies and truly showed his love through his gifts of food.
Surviving are his husband, James Tagliareni-Lutz; his parents, John & Judy Gould, Dave & Sally Lutz; his loving siblings; Andrea & Chris Belding, Tammy & Tony Falbe, Lisa & Dan Anible, and Scott & Angie Lutz; his very special nieces and nephews, Brittney, Lauren, Audrey, Cohen, Lilabelle, and Gwendolyn... all of whom he loved watching grow, he considered it a true gift of time spent, he enjoyed attending their countless activities. Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Nancy Tagliareni; and an extremely large circle of loving friends and 'framily". He was the most wonderful, loving Daddy to his fur babies and was always surrounded by the love of animals.
Visitation is from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, with a sharing of memories from 3-4 p.m., also on Saturday.
