David Lounds

David Stanley Lounds, 78, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Battle Creek, after a long battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia. One of eight children, David was born to Samuel Arthur & Theresia (Daw) Lounds on February 23, 1940 in Sault Ste. Marie. He was a proud veteran of the Unites States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam era, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. David was a passionate and talented carpenter, who could create anything from a block of wood, which led him to pursue a career in carpentry. He loved old time country and blues music, singing, dancing, and thoroughly enjoyed making ladies blush with his incorrigible flirting. He is survived by his three children, Dana Lounds, Bruce & Jamie Lounds, and Brenda Kiesling; along with his grandchildren.
