David Julius Kreigh, age 93, of Allegan, Michigan passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the Allegan County Medical Care Facility. He was born December 31, 1931 to the late Maurice and Eva Kreigh in South Haven, Michigan.
David proudly served his country in the United States Army from August 8, 1952 until he was honorably discharged on June 16, 1954. He married Evelyn Fisher on December 1, 1956, in South Haven, Michigan. They celebrated 60 years of marriage together before Evelyn passed away on December 25, 2016.
David and Evelyn worked together at Bohn Aluminum in South Haven for 30 years before retiring. Following retirement, David spent his time enjoying old western movies, fishing, camping, and working in their large vegetable garden. He and Evelyn later devoted much of their time caring for their great-grandchildren, Alexia and Kaleb, who treasure the moments they shared with their great-grandparents and the valuable life lessons they learned from them during those formative years. David was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather who quietly cared for his family.
David was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn and his parents.
Survivors include his son, Carl (Lorie) Kreigh of Allegan; granddaughter, Amy (John) Filbrandt; two great-grandchildren, Alexia (Cody) Couturier and Kaleb Filbrandt (Teagan Burson); two great-great granddaughters, Tori & Everlee Couturier, all of South Haven; step-granddaughter, Angella (Dave) Ferreira and their son, Tristan of Ellenton, FL; David’s sister, Adella (Lester) Dunham of South Haven; and niece, Sheila Wallace of Chandler, TX.
Per David’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned for a later date and details will be announced when they become available.
