David Harrel Kepley was born on October 25, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. He lived a life of vitality and purpose, leaving us on October 27, 2023. David’s legacy is a rich tapestry woven with threads of dedication, love, and resilience. Warmth and kindness were the very essence of Dave’s life. Even as he fought the ravages of Multiple System Atrophy for three years, he never complained and continued caring more about others than himself.
David met and fell in love with his beloved wife, Anita, and they were married on August 5, 1968. Their bond was an enduring testament to a love that was steadfast and true. They had two sons, Matthew and Patrick. David was an exceptional father.
David enjoyed his career years as an administrator at Henry Ford Hospital, owning Cleanway (a national carpet cleaning company), and owning a marina. Dave was a jack of all trades.
David is survived by his loving wife, Anita, their sons, Matthew and Patrick (Sanja Banozic); grandchildren, Jackson, Cameron, Ty, Leo, and Layla Kepley; sister-in-law Sydney Zaremba (Ron Roth); nieces and nephew; Chris and Anne Prill and Kelly Gartrell. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kepley, his mother, Olive Williams Kepley, and his sister, Judith Gunter.
There will be a celebration of life for David in 2024. Those who wish, may make a memorable contribution to Multiple System Atrophy Coalition.
We encourage you to share your cherished memories of David and upload photos to the memorial page. These shared moments will serve as a comforting reminder of the wonderful man he was and the significant impact he made on so many lives.
