David Lee Henry

David Lee Henry, beloved husband, father, and grandfather was called home to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Dave was born in Ft. Sumter, SC on June 12,1953, to the late Richard and Phyllis (Larsen) Henry. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy Henry (Bolthouse); 6 children, Julie (Tom) Higbee, Jodi (Kraig) Steele, Jessica (Nate) Dykstra, Mary Henry, Jonathan (Olivia) Henry, and Ana Henry; grandchildren, Alecia, Emma, Halle, Kaitlyn, Ashton, Ian, Jasper, Lucas, Murphy, and Vernor; brother, Robert (Deb) Henry; sister, Sandra (Kevin) Macham; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Richard and Phyllis Henry. Dave graduated from Onsted High School in 1971 and continued his education at Grand Rapids Baptist College and Kellogg Community College. He loved playing sports, fishing, hunting, hiking, and camping with family. He enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports and perform in musicals. Dave was a man that made everyone feel like they were his best friend, no matter how well he knew them. He always had a smile and a positive attitude. He was always there for his friends and family, no matter what. Above all, it was important to him that his family know Jesus. Visitation will take place Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Chapel Pointe, 3350 Baldwin Street, Hudsonville, Michigan (Please enter at door A) from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service @ 11:00 a.m. A Luncheon will be served following the service.
