David Byrne

David William Byrne, age 76, of Hersey, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Michigan. The son of William & Geraldine (Simison) Byrne, he was born on February 11, 1941. David was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. serving at Fort Bragg during the Vietnam Conflict and attained the rank of Sergeant. He retired from General Motors in Lansing. Burial will take place privately at Fort Custer National Cemetery near Battle Creek and a memorial gathering for relatives and friends is being planned.
