Darwin Wakefield

Darwin E. Wakefield, Sr., age 75, of Kalamazoo, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek. The son of Joseph Allen and Ardell Wakefield, he was born on October 26, 1935 in Kalamazoo and worked as a civil engineer for 28 years. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann (Johnson) Wakefield. Committal services, at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, are being planned. Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
