Darrell Buckmaster

Darrell Lee Buckmaster, age 74, of Greenville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at home under the loving care of his family and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of Willard LeRoy & Eleanor Pearl (Martin) Buckmaster, he was born on February 8, 1949 in Greenville. On August 1, 1970, in Stanton, he married Bonnie May Packer, and together, they enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage and raised three sons. A 1969 graduate of Greenville High School, Darrell was a skilled mechanic and operated Darrell's Garage for many years. His mechanical mind and abilities also included inventing, fabricating, and wood working and he enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his father, Willard Buckmaster; a brother, Daniel Buckmaster; a grandson, Dakota Buckmaster; a special uncle, Luther Buckmaster; and his parents-in-law, Norm & Goldie Packer. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Buckmaster; his mother, Eleanor Buckmaster; three sons, Charles Lee & Cindy Buckmaster, James Lee & LeAnne Buckmaster, and Randall Lee & Cherri Buckmaster; nine grandchildren, Candy Smith, Jessica Horter, Jamie & Dan Yokubonus, Julie & Mark Johnson, Krissy & Dylan Brinks, Darron & Katherine Buckmaster, Katie Buckmaster & Matt Purcell, Brandon Buckmaster & Morgan Kelly, and Blake Buckmaster; six great-grandchildren, Trisha Buckmaster, Tristan Tasker, Lilly Brinks, Chase Johnson, Koda Brinks, and Eli Johnson; two brothers and a sister, Donald & Sue Buckmaster, Debra & Gary Cook, and Doug Buckmaster; two brothers-in-law, Richard & Donna Packer and David & Laura Packer; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his faithful canine companion, Cuddles.
