Darlene Ruth (Staat) Wabeke, age 74, received the eternal embrace of her Creator on December 27, 2023, after a lifetime of faithfully listening and following the plans He had set forth for her on Earth, as guided by Jeremiah 29:11 & Proverbs 3:5-6.
Devoted to caring for her family and touching the lives of those she encountered, Darlene's spirit was a beacon of love and kindness. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, with a particular passion for antiques, sewing, baking and gardening.
Her commitment to nurturing not only her family but also the broader community was evident in her 19 years as co-administrator of Fishers of Men Ministries alongside her husband, Randy. Even after the passing of her husband, Darlene continued the ministry's legacy for an additional four years with the help of volunteers and her devoted family.
Among her cherished roles, Darlene found immense joy in spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren, making each day a treasure. Her character was defined by selflessness, always putting the needs of others before her own. A devoted listener to God's guidance, she shared His wisdom with those who needed it most, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
Darlene's unique gift, her ability to listen to God and share His messages, will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched over the years, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul deeply connected to a higher purpose. As we bid farewell to Darlene, let us remember her with gratitude for the love, wisdom, and compassion she shared, leaving an enduring imprint on the lives she touched.
