Danny D. "Dan" Kapustka, age 75, of Carson City, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Hospice House of Mid-Michigan in Lansing after a long battle with lung cancer with his wife and daughter by his side. He retired from the General Motors Fisher Body Plant in Lansing after thirty years, and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 380 in Carson City. He enjoyed fishing, and watching his grandchildren's sporting events, but time with his family was treasured above everything.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Kenny Kapustka; and three sisters, Marilyn Wineland, Mary Kapustka, and Linda Pierce.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-two years, Mary Kapustka; his daughter, Staci & Kacy Datema; two granddaughters, Megan and Molly; two step-grandchildren, Nolan and Olivia; two brothers, John & Donna Kapustka and Alan Kapustka; two sisters, Darlene & Roger Barnes, and Jackie Unruh; one sister-in-law, Mary (Bennett) Kapustka; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Dan's life beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the American Legion Post No. 380, 121 N. Mercantile Street, Carson City, Michigan. Private committal services, with military honors, will take place at Maryknoll Cemetery, Carson City.
Instead of flowers, Dan would have appreciated contributions in his memory to American Legion Post No. 380 in Carson City.
