Danny Dean Argersinger, age 78, of Carson City, passed away Friday morning, October 31, 2025 at the Laurels of Carson City. The son of Orin & Joan (Nolan) Argersinger, he was born on December 2, 1946 at home in Sheridan, Michigan.
After graduating from Carson City High School in 1965, Danny joined the United States Air Force rather than be drafted during the height of the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he returned home and married Marilyn Jean Griswold, and together they enjoyed nearly fifty-seven years of marriage and raised three children.
Danny was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and turkey hunting. Never having idle hands, he was always busy building, fixing, or otherwise tinkering on machinery or equipment in his garage. A thrill seeker, he never shied away from an adventure, and spent time soaring above the ground as a hot air balloon pilot, stock car racing at Crystal Raceway, and competed numerous times in the International 500 Snowmobile Race in Sault Ste. Marie.
During his life, he was a hard-working farmer, and had worked with both the Carson City and Corunna School districts as their Transportation Supervisors, retiring after over a combined 30 years in keeping the students safe on the busses.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Orin & Joan Argersinger; and a brother, David Argersinger. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Argersinger; their children, Andrew & Christina Argersinger, Chad & Kimberly Argersinger, and Deanne & Scott Verschure; seven grandchildren, Alexis, Ryan (Cristin), Seth, Jillian, Cole, Nick, and Nate; three great-grandchildren, Maverick, Iva, Waylon, and a fourth on the way in April; his sister, Dawn & Larry Dennis; his brother, Dean & Tammy Argersinger; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
