Danielle Dee Scholten-Linderman, age 29, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Spencer Township. The daughter of Donald Dean & Brenda Lee (Jeffrey) Scholten, she was born on July 9, 1984 in Greenville and was a 2002 graduate of Greenville High School.
Dani was currently employed as a waitress at Drakes Place in downtown Greenville and had previously worked at a number of area restaurants. A devoted mother, she had coached soccer and been a Girl Scout leader, as well as volunteering at Greenville Community Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts projects and writing poetry, but most of all delighted in time spent with her children and family.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Clinton & Charlene Jeffrey; her paternal grandfather, Donald Scholten; a step-grandfather, Marvin Witham; and a step-uncle, Andrew Taylor.
Surviving are her children, Jadan Linderman and Ava DeBoer, both at home; her parents, Brenda & Bob Taylor of Remus and Dean & Jan Scholten of Sheridan two sisters, Tabitha Scholten & Scott Ripley of Stanton, and Melissa Wagner of Greenville; her paternal grandmother, Jane Scholten of Sheridan; step-siblings, Jeremy & Nicole Neve of Greenville, Jill & Troy Hansen of Sheridan, Cory & Fawn Taylor of Weidman, and Bryce Taylor of Remus; step-grandparents, Karla Witham of Greenville, and Bob & Karen Taylor of Rodney; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many dear friends.
Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, and where envelopes for contributions to a fund for her children will be available. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Greenville Community Church, 6596 S. Vining Road, Greenville, where the family will also receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Joel Heron, lead pastor of Greenville Community Church, will officiate and burial will take place privately at Sheridan Cemetery.
