Daniel Ostrom

Daniel E. Ostrom, age 70, of Dorr, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 surrounded by family. The son of Paul & Bertha (Sidlouskas) Ostrom, he was born on March 15, 1946 in Grand Rapids. Daniel went on to be a proud Michigan State Police Officer for 25 years. proud Michigan State Police Officer for 25 years. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Jim, Jack and Richard Ostrom. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who is survived by his wife, Sarah Arminio; daughter, Dayna (Robert) Edwards; son, Chad (Kristin) Ostrom; four grandchildren, Adam Hedlund, Amanda Hedlund, Blake Ostrom, and Brandt Ostrom; and sister, Paulette Ostrom-Wasel. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Jim, Jack and Richard Ostrom. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who is survived by his wife, Sarah Arminio; daughter, Dayna (Robert) Edwards; s on, Chad (Kristin) Ostrom; four grandchildren, Adam Hedlund, Amanda Hedlund, Blake Ostrom, and Brandt Ostrom; and sister, Paulette Ostrom-Wasel. Dan was a hero to his family and will be deeply missed. A visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, (One block west of Eastern Avenue), where memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with a luncheon to follow.
