Daniel Cooper DeGood, age 75, of Greenville, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, with his family by his side.
He was born October 15, 1944, to Marinus and Gertrude (Cooper) DeGood in Grand Rapids. On June 19, 1971, in Greenville, he married Ethel Louise Herroon and together, they enjoyed 49 years of marriage.
Dan was a skilled musician and enjoyed playing the guitar. When he was younger, he spent time in Nashville recording an album and toured the country with his band. He also enjoyed fishing and being outside, and delighted in time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Jonathan and Angie; and a granddaughter, Jussie. Surviving are his wife,
Ethel DeGood; five children, Danny, Tammy (Kevin), Kevin, Scott (Autumn), and Cindy; eleven grandchildren, Tyler (Emily), Kearsten, Logan, Passion (Casey), Taylor (Zach), Jon (Jessica), Cody (Andrea), Savannah (Donavan), Ryan, Keagan, and Wilder; ten great-grandchildren, Marcus, FayLynn, Paityn, Adeline, Robert, Cody Jr., Jace, Kyson, Kreed, and KinzLeigh; three siblings, Ruth, Jim, and Linda; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
