Daniel Cronkhite

CRONKHITE, Daniel J. January 21, 1960 - February 9, 2021 Plainwell, Michigan Daniel J. Cronkhite, beloved husband, wonderful son, father and "papa" passed away Tuesday evening, February 9, 2021, at home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born January 21, 1960, in Huntington, West Virginia, the son of Richard and Rose (Beaupre) Cronkhite. Daniel was an avid SCUBA diver, who traveled the world seeking adventure. On August 11, 1979, Daniel was united in marriage to Teresa M. Baranoski. He was employed as a salesman by Troyer Foods in Goshen, Indiana, for 20 years until his retirement in 2018, and was a certified diving instructor with The National Association of Underwater Instructors. Daniel leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Teresa and their two children, Maria (Tony) Sorrentino and Matthew (Danielle) Cronkhite. Daniel was blessed with seven grandchildren who will all miss him terribly, Taylor Hughes, Keegan and Ty Cronkhite, Easton Grashuis, and Rayna, Brennah, and Chloe Sorrentino. He is further survived by his mother, Rose Cronkhite; brother, Richard Cronkhite; three loving sisters, Lisa (Tom) Marks, Laura (Roger) Borer, and Jessica (Greg) Meskil; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Cronkhite. A celebration of life will be held this summer, at a date to-be-determined.
