Dan Potter

Dan Thomas Potter, age 69, of Howard City, passed away on November 26, 2020 at home under the care of his daughters and Hospice of Michigan. The son of Victor David & Julia Ann (Bolding) Potter, he was born on March 31, 1951 in Lansing. Dan was a 1970 graduate of Waverly High School in Lansing and lived his life helping others as a jack of all trades. Dan was a proud Vietnam Veteran and was a peace loving and proud hippy who enjoyed gardening, music, bird watching and his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte Ellen Potter. Surviving are his five children, Laurie (David) Mesch, Dano Potter, Melissa (Kenneth) Buwa, Heather Potter and Zachary Potter; ten grandchildren, Dylan Mesch, Amanda Whittington, James Mesch, Seth Potter, Caleb Potter, Desiree Potter, David Hess, Kaitlyn Klein, Thomas Potter and Jacob Potter; and many other family members and friends. Honoring Dan's wishes, no formal services will be held and the family will have a scattering ceremony at a later date.
