Dale Lewis Sinclair, age 80 of Fairplains Township, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The son of Clayton and Bernedeen (Kidder) Sinclair, he was born on August 15, 1933 in Sheridan.
After working in different fields, he retired from his dream job as a school bus driver from the Greenville Public Schools in 1996. Dale was a talented musicianplaying in bands and had a beautiful singing voice. As a hobby farmer he loved his animals, but nothing was more important to him than his family. His kind heart made all who knew him feel comfortable and loved.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; two grand children, Timothy Cain Sr. and Bradley Bowser; a great grandson, Aiden Lopez; and a nephew Dusty Sinclair.
He is survived by his life-partner of 22 years, whom he loving labeled George, Aletha Thornburg; his children, Gene & Susan Sinclair of Apache Junction, Arizona, Jane & Tom Doty of Cedarville, Michigan, Karen & Wendell Bliss of Sheridan, Dennis Sinclair and Laurie & Mark Slaughter, all of Dunnellon, Florida, and Greggory & Angie Sinclair of Guam; his step children, Penny Porter, H. DeWayne Thornburg, Loyce & Carlos Thomas, and Norma Wertz; siblings, Dwane & Nancy Sinclair of Perry, Florida, Larry & Agnes Sinclair of Sheridan, and Deanna Senn of Grand Rapids; and many grand and great-grandchildren.
Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Dales life will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Fenwick United Methodist Church with Pastor Rusty Morgan officiating. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a time of food and fellowship at the church.
