Dale Bergakker

Dale Leon Bergakker, 83, of Grand Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 10, at Addington Place of Grand Rapids, with his family at his side. The son of Peter & Winnie (Schryvers) Bergakker, he was born May 30, 1935 in Harrison, South Dakota. On June 9, 1956, in Grand Rapids, he married Karyl Jean Comp and together they raised five children and enjoyed 60 years of marriage. Surviving are their children, Curtis & Kathleen Bergakker, Darwin Bergakker, Debra & Ken Kelley, Patricia & Mark Currier, and Kathleen & Dan Popma,; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Community Christian Reformed Church, 150 Burt Avenue S.E., Wyoming, where memorial services will start promptly at 11 a.m., with a luncheon immediately to follow.
