Cynthia Lynn Thompson, known to her loved ones as Cindi, peacefully passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and savior on Saturday, January 26, 2024, at the age of 65 in Muskegon, Michigan. Cindi was born on June 6, 1958, in Muskegon. She was a beloved member of the community, leaving behind cherished memories and a lasting impact on those who knew her.
Cindi was a people person who brought joy to everyone she encountered. She had a passion for cooking and took great pleasure in preparing meals for her family and friends. She also found joy in playing with and caring for her grandchildren. Cindi had a green thumb and loved spending time in her garden, nurturing beautiful plants and flowers. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as sitting by a fire with friends, playing cards, camping, crochet, sewing, and many other hobbies.
In addition to her personal interests, Cindi had a fulfilling career. For ten years, she worked at Christian Care nursing home, where she performed various duties, including being an aid, cooking, serving as a dietary manager, and assisting in the office. Cindi's dedication to caring for others extended beyond the nursing home, as she spent over 20 years as a bus driver. Most of her time was devoted to transporting and supporting special education children in the Muskegon Heights area. Her compassion and commitment to these children left a lasting impression on their lives.
Cindi leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her children, Joshua (Holly) Bollenbach, Tiffany (Ray) Springstead, Michael Haueisen II, and Jaiden (Faith) Bollendach. She also leaves behind her brother, Scott Dahl; sister, Sherri Wohlfard; seven grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Cindi was preceded in death by her father, Jack Thompson; mother, Dorothy (Deon) Dahl; and sister, Kim Tetzloff.
To honor Cindi's life, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. This gathering will provide an opportunity for friends, family, and loved ones to come together and share their memories of Cindi, celebrating the impact she had on their lives.
Cindi will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her kind heart, warm smile, and loving nature will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind. May she rest in peace knowing that her legacy of love and compassion lives on in the lives of those she touched.
