Cynthia Evelyn Brown

Brown (VanDam), Cynthia Evelyn, August 28th 1951 - July 15th 2026. Cindy passed away peacefully at home. Born to Henry and Betty Lue VanDam on August 28th. She was born and raised in Rockford where she graduated from Rockford High School in 1969. She worked at Knape & Vogt for 28 years. She also worked at Donnelly, Electrolux and stop and shop as well.

Cindy was a loving sister to Lynda Greenfield (Tom Greenfield), Durk VanDam, Wendy VanDam and an aunt to many loved nieces and nephews. A wonderful Mother to Jessica Johnson and Grandmother to Austin Richardson, Hannah Richardson, Kailey Richardson, and Samantha Osborne and a Great Grandmother to Ryder Bauman.

Cindy loved to hunt and fish but her main love was flowers and she showed love for her flowers in her yard and around her house. She had a beautiful smile that was very contagious and quite the personality and definitely loved her Busch light. She will be greatly missed by her family and many from her home town of Croton.

In lieu of a funeral or memorial service, we will be having celebration of life the day after her birthday on August 29th 2026. Will be starting at 12 noon at 6209 Croton Hardy Drive, Newaygo Mi, 49337. Please Bring Your Own Beer and a dish to pass if you wish. Let's have a few all together in her memory.

And a few famous last words  - She didn't want anyone crying, "Cremation... My last chance at a smoking hot body."
