Craig L. Jones, age 50, formerly of Greenville, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at home in Kalamazoo. The son of Roger & Jill Jones, he was born on July 3, 1969 in Greenville and was a 1987 graduate of Greenville High School, where he was on both the varsity football and debate teams.
Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he obtained the rank of Lance Corporal and earned the Rifle Expert Marksmanship Badge and the National Defense Service Medal. After being honorably discharged following a physical disability, he worked for Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) as a computer engineer in Florida. After suffering a disabling workplace injury, he returned to Michigan. While Craig had many interests, his greatest joy was found in his children.
Surviving are four children, including Sean Jones, and Aaron Jones & Chloe Montgomery; his father, Roger Jones; a sister and two brothers, Dawn TenBrink, Dean Jones, and Nicholas Jones; special friends, Todd & Billijo Snider; and a host of beloved friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Craig's life beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101, 1320 W. Washington Street, Greenville, where military honors will be rendered at 4:45 p.m. A time to share food, fellowship, and memories will immediately follow the ceremony.
