Corla Mable Morgan, age 76, of Greenville, passed away late Friday evening, July 28, 2023 at Corewell Health-Greenville Hospital R.N.C. in Greenville.
The daughter of Elmer Ellsworth & Fleeta Belle (Blumberg) Morgan, she was born on October 30, 1946 in Greenville and was a graduate of Central Montcalm High School. After high school, she attended the Grand Rapids School of Bible & Music, in addition to completing multiple courses in Bible study from Emmaus Correspondence School.
Corla was a joy and delight to most everyone she met, volunteered for over seventeen years at the former United Memorial Hospital in Greenville, ten years at the Greenville Area Senior Center, and was a long-time member of the First Congregational Church in Greenville.
Corla enjoyed embroidery, playing bingo, time spent with family and friends, and walks around town with her best friend, Lucille Cope.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles C. & Mary Morgan.
Surviving are her biological sister, Joyce Switzer & Clair Morey; a nephew and two nieces, Charles C. & Mary Morgan II, Shree Beardslee, and Brenda Cliff; several great nieces and great nephews; and many dear friends.
Visitation is from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pastor Ed Milam of the First Congregational Church of Greenville will officiate and burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens in Belding.
