Coben Pennock

Coben Elisha Pennock, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 10, 2017, of natural causes. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 14, 1977. She graduated from Gull Lake High School in 1995 and spent the last several years in Plainwell where she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and thrift shopping. Coben was an animal-lover and a thoughtful person, always willing to help others and delighted in finding special, unique gifts to give to her loved ones. Coben is survived by her daughter Alahna Jean Pennock (Ben Matusiak), father Steve Smith, mother and stepfather Laura and Rob Ashley, brother Steve Smith, sisters Noelle (Steve) Brown and Amanda (Chris) Ramirez, and several nieces and nephews. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and a service will be held in January 2018. Information will be posted through Facebook.
