Cleatus Covington, age 91, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021. He was born on February 16th, 1930, in Three Rivers to George and Mary (Ingram) Covington. Cleatus worked for Best Way Moving and Storage for 25 years before he retired in 2003. He had many interests and hobbies. He loved to go fishing, watch sports and was an avid reader. However, there was nothing that Cleatus loved more than his family. He will be remembered by his ability to tell stories and great sense of humor. But above all, Cleatus will be remembered as a loving husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Dorothy Covington; five children, Larry (Judy) Smith, Rick (WM0176831 ) Smith, Gina (Bill) Pou, Eddie (Darlene) Covington and Ron (Annette) Covington; brothers, Danny (Karen) Covington and Donny (Pauline) Covington; sister, Audi Riley; and several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Johnny Covington and Beth Covington.
