Clarence C. Kellogg, age 81, of Greenville, passed away Monday, June 3, 2024 at home under the loving care of his family and Corewell Health Hospice (just two days short of his 82nd birthday). The son of Emery & Dorothy (Carnes) Kellogg, he was born on June 5, 1942 in Howard City, Michigan.
On May 23, 1970, in Greenville, he married Marie Geraldine Russell and together they were long-time members of Beth Haven Baptist Church. Clarence worked at the former Electrolux Home Products plant in Greenville, had his own body shop and worked as manager for Earl Scheib, and more recently had worked in the paint department at the Greenville Walmart.
Clarence had a variety of hobbies, interests and talents including stained glass, beekeeping, hunting with his son and grandson, fishing with his special friend Rick Snow, and he enjoyed his coffee time with friends at McDonald’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lawrence “Sam” Kellogg and Gordon Kellogg.
Surviving are his wife, Marie G. Kellogg of Greenville; his children, Carl & Heather Kellogg, Michael Kellogg, Christopher & Lori Kellogg, Annie & Erik Bowman, and Sammantha Kellogg; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Arlene Kellogg of Greenville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Beth Haven Baptist Church, 1158 W. Carson City Road (M-57), Sheridan, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. The Rev. Kevin Crowell, pastor of Beth Haven Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will follow at Eureka Township Cemetery.
